The Information Systems Specialist develop and support an organization's computer technology, information systems and database systems. In addition to maintaining a firm's information systems operations, they are responsible for interacting with related consultants and vendors, providing instruction and advice to system users, analyzing problems and issues related to the information system software and other related software. They are members of the IT Team and effective teamwork is essential to accomplishing their team's objectives.
المهارات
1) Develops and provides support for Information and Database systems of the organization.
2) Develops Information system policies and procedures and monitor the compliance, facilitate and execute enforcement of them.
3) Provides Technical helpdesk support by responding to escalated incidents, questions and concerns of the staff related to the systems, timely.
4) Communicates timely and effectively with vendors, others in the work unit, departments; relating to work assignments, progress of work or to convey information about conditions or work related needs;
5) Evaluates, recommends and deploys hardware and software systems;
6) Oversees the integration of the information system with other systems for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of the data flow and decreasing redundancy of data collection activities.
7) Evaluates and monitors the security of Information systems(on premise and on cloud) in liaison with the Information Security Unit of IT.
8) Facilitates training and workshops for the purpose of communicating information system capabilities to the end-user.
9) Keeps up to date with the latest software and technology developments.
10) Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
