Communication Researcher

• Building knowledge base, expertise, facilities, capabilities and train human resource in Communication Systems, simulation, prototyping, measurements, field testing and validation/verification.
• Completing a wide range of tasks on applied research and development projects in Communication systems and its subsystems including antennas, microwave circuits, transceiver, circuits, software defined systems, radio wave propagation, phased array antennas, adaptive beam forming, signal processing, analysis, simulation, design and measurements
• Designing, analyzing, simulate, assemble, fabricate, model, verify and lab/field test hardware and software prototypes
• Working on assigned R&D projects and actively participate on research projects related to communication systems with a team of fellow engineers
• Developing and using modeling and simulation tools to design, analyze and predict performance of communication systems
• Playing an active role in lab research and development projects and participate in research proposals and projects. Attracting research grants by applying research proposals.
• Publishing research articles in internationally renowned journals, conferences and magazines and developing intellectual property through patents filing.
• Leading a team of engineers and technicians to successfully complete a research and development project within allocated time and budget.
• Performing any other tasks as assigned by the research supervisor.
• Work on different indigenously-developed UAV projects to provide communication link solutions.
• Work on satellite communication projects from mobile or fixed platforms like microsatellite, VISAT, Visat-on-the-move, etc.
• Work and provide on advanced tactical secure communication solutions, both hardware and software, for the armed security forces.
• Work on software-defined-radios to provide adaptive, flexible and secure communications.
• Work on wireless sensor network based solutions for situational awareness in battlefield or in a given area.

• Substantial understanding and knowledge of Communications systems, Networking, Antennas, Radiowave Propagation, Link budget analysis, Networking, Communication architectures and systems, VISAT, Electromagnetic Analysis, Simulation, Measurements.
• Communication systems simulation tools like HTZ, OPNET, MatLab, etc.
• Excellent project management and systems engineering skills
• Team member and excellent verbal/written/presentations communication skills
