Job Description
- Serving as system subject matter expert and system engineer for radar systems.
- Lead various projects in the development and implementation of advanced radar systems.
- Influence the strategic direction of radar technology and product roadmaps.
- Developing strategies for radar and RF module integration and performance improvement.
- Development of concepts of operations and radar system architectures for radar systems.
- Development of system specifications derived from user requirements.
- Radar software and hardware development requirements, design, build, test and documentation
- Lead the testing and verification of radar systems and sub-systems performance using simulated and real sensor data.
- Coordinating technical delivery across multiple work packages and programs.
- Collaboration with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions.
- Conducting technical requirements, verification, and validation processes.
- Developing and following project management, system engineering and configuration management best practices to deliver professional outcome from projects.
- Delivering technical presentations and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Play a key role in mentoring and developing of human resource and technical staff.
- Ensure that PSDSARC shapes the future direction of radar development.
Skills
- Masters/PhD in a STEM field with leadership skills.
- Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
- Experience with work on diverse projects, ensuring delivery within time and budget.
- Experience with radar signal processing with the ability to architect different modes of target detection and tracking systems.
- Experience with the modeling/simulation of radar physics and fundamental phenomena, along with an understanding of the algorithms for radar signal processing and calibration
- Experience with trade studies, requirements analysis and development of hardware architectures to meet system requirements.
- Experience with statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
- Experience with analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
- Desirable: Understanding of antenna theory and familiarity with the design and development of RF subsystems, understanding of digital filtering, linear algebra, stochastic processes, estimation theory, and detection theory
- Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++.
- Experience with presentation of findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
